Combined work/residence permit
On October 2, 2013 a proposal for a law with respect to a combined work/residence permit was submitted with the Dutch House of Representatives.
In this procedure the applications for a Dutch work permit (tewerkstellingsvergunning) and the Dutch residence permit (verblijfsvergunning) will be combined to one single application. The procedure will be applicable to most labour migrants from outside the EU (besides Highly Skilled Migrants, seasonal labour, students, asylum seekers and people with the nationality from Croatia) who wish to come to the Netherlands to work for a period longer than 3 months. It is expected that the combined procedure will be available as of early 2014.
